What’s new in Campfire?

Welcome to the latest version of Campfire! Whether you're returning from a previous version or exploring it for the first time, this guide will walk you through the biggest changes and enhancements to help you get started with confidence.

Classrooms: Flexible and Clear Organization

In Campfire, a classroom is a structured space where you group students for instruction and assessment. It allows you to manage rosters, assign units and activities, and track student performance across standards and assessments. Classrooms can be created manually or synced with an LMS like Google Classroom, making it easy to integrate with existing workflows and curriculum structures.

Rostering: Streamlined Student Management

Campfire’s rostering system allows you to manage classroom enrollment by manually adding students or uploading a CSV file. Each roster lists student names and unique access codes, enabling assessment assignments, performance tracking, and individual progress monitoring. If your classroom is integrated with an LMS like Google Classroom or Canvas, your roster is automatically synced—no manual setup required.

Admin Roles and Permissions

Campfire’s user roles define what each team member can access and manage within the platform. Whether you're assigning content, overseeing multiple classrooms, or administering the entire workspace, each role is designed to support specific responsibilities and workflows. Administrators can easily update these roles using the workspace People Directory to ensure access stays aligned with evolving team needs.
