Terminology

Application​

  • Workspaces may have Applications, which allow them to sublicense Campfire access to their own customers. Each customer licensed to an application will be given their own workspace.
  • your workspace → app → your customer’s workspace
    • an app will have an APP_ID and APP_SECRET
      • the former lets you identify the customer
      • the latter gives you FULL CONTROL over their workspace (create users, manage content, everything). This must be kept totally secret.

Bank​

  • Workspaces have banks, which contain content (items, exams, etc). This allows for subdividing content in workspaces for organization/sharing/etc.

User​

  • An account that a person logs in with.

Workspace​

  • All data in Campfire is organized into workspaces. Workspaces control who can see/access the content.
  • Users can have access to multiple workspaces, but may only view a single workspace’s content at a time
    • *excluding workspace content sharing
